2 eggs
1/2 cup milk
1 teaspoon vanilla
3 tablespoons all-purpose flour
1/8 teaspoon salt
3 teaspoons butter
6 slices of thick sliced bread (Texas Toast)
1 tablespoon powdered sugar
**you can add cinnamon to mixture if you like**
1. Beat the eggs in a large bowl.
2. Add the milk, vanilla, flour, salt and cinnamon (to taste), to
the eggs. Beat the mixture with and electric mixer. Be
sure all the flour is well combined.
3. Heat a large skillet over medium heat. When the surface is
hot, add about a teaspoon of butter.
4. Dip the bread, a slice at a time into the batter, coat each
side well. Place the bread into the hot pan. Cook for 2 to
3 minutes or until the surface is golden brown.
5. Repeat with each slice of bread.
6. After cooking, sprinkle with powered sugar and serve with
syrup.
