Ingredients

2 tablespoons olive oil
3 large onions, thinly sliced and separated
1 clove garlic, minced
1 tablespoon hot pepper sauce
1 teaspoon celery seed
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1/2 teaspoon chili powder
6 fresh bratwurst and buns

Cooking Instructions

1. Place oil in a large frying pan and heat.

2. Add all ingredients except brats and buns.

3. Saute over medium heat, stirring occ, until onions are soft and caramelized.

4. In a separate pan, bring water to a boil and add bratwurst.

5. Reduce heat and simmer uncovered until brats are firm and cooked.

6. Drain water.

7. You can eat the brat this way or grill brats until browned.

8. Pile on the onions and enjoy!
